{Ethiopia}

Hey readers and friends.  The long anticipated and asked for Ethiopia post is up!  Sorry for the delay.  Editing and sifting through the photos took awhile because, well wedding season is upon us and I have been a busy girl.  Most of these photos were taken of people that have become my friends or children and young women I have gotten to know this summer and the past.  I really didn’t take as many photos as last year and that was kind of nice.  I spent the majority of my time investing myself in my new friends’ lives and stories.  I really got to continue building friendships with the kids that got started on last years trip and that made this trip that much better.  You might recognize a few of the same kids from last year.  They have all grown so much!  Soon all the boys will be taller than me!!  Once again I must say how blessed I was to go on this trip and work with these amazing women and children.  For those of you who missed the last Ethiopia post a couple weeks back I will sum up what I did on this trip.  I went out to volunteer at a young women’s shelter and work at A Hope orphanage for 3 weeks.  Another girl from my church went as well and we spent much of our time playing with the kids, building a trusting relationship with them and then sharing the word of God.  We did a VBS (vacation bible school), tons of crafts and games as well as some organized teaching.  I miss it there already and I can’t wait for another opportunity to go back for round 3!  I miss the people, the language and well some of the food:) God is good!

I just wrote a pretty long post on my trip a couple of posts back.  Please check out this post with more detailed stories and adventures of this past trip, as well as tons of photos of me with the kids.  Please check that post out CLICK HERE!!
