{Mustache Movember for A Hope}

I know this post and some others are quite belated but my blog was sadly neglected for a couple of crazy months and then I gave it a little re-designed facelift and you are looking at the final product!:) Anyway I couldn’t resist posting this very overdue blog post that is near and dear to my heart!  So first off THANK YOU to all who came out supported the A Hope For Children fundraiser to raise money for A Hope Orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  We were able to raise $1000 for the kids!!  We were also able to have a little fun and rock our mustaches for the photo booth!  We had some attendees with fabulous home grown mustaches and those without were able to look pretty darn good with the handmade ones.  We spent a couple hours enjoying everyone’s company and snapping away some silly pics in the photo booth.  This was definitely a fun day to be behind the camera J.  I myself was able to get my mustache portrait on as well.  It really was a fun event and we had well over 30 people attend including some of my past brides and grooms!!  I loved putting on this event and I enjoyed every minute of the planning and organizing and decorating.  Being in the wedding industry has me on my toes brainstorming new creative ideas daily.  It was fun for me to be able to put together many DIY details and décor.  Being a photographer and artist is even more satisfying when I can us my skill for the good of others.  I know how grateful those children are for all the love and support they receive from donors across the world.  I was so blessed to be able to learn that first hand when I was over in Ethiopia volunteering over this past summer.  Once again, thank you to everyone you attended and gave their support.  We could not have done this without each and every one of you!!  I am hoping to make this an annual event!  For any that were there please feel free to comment with any feedback and suggestions for next year!!  Donations for A Hope For Children can also be made online at www.ahopeforchildren.org.
